About Me
I started Kat Cleans in 2022 after working in the cleaning and hospitality industry since I graduated Air Academy High School in 2016. I’ve studied film, communication, and women’s and ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I have three cats named Eric, Coraline and Quesadilla. Colorado Springs born and raised, and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. I have many hobbies including nature art, leather crafting and painting just to name a few.
Why I Started Kat Cleans
After working a year with a major cleaning company, I knew I needed to start my own business. I was constantly pressured to work faster no matter the cost. I listened to the clients over those months and paid attention to what they felt was missing from their services. It was frustrating that I was discouraged from going above and beyond for our clients, and in that frustration I found a passion for not only house cleaning, but home making. I wanted nothing more than to enter a space and leave it cleaner and more functional than when I arrived. I wanted to cultivate a feeling of trust with my clients; I wanted to take the time to show that I valued their home as much as I valued my own. I now get to carry a screwdriver in my pocket to fix loose screws as I clean. It’s all worth it.
